Departure Eve

It completely threw me off having to go to class for the past six days.  Tomorrow I'm off for Germany -- whether I'm ready or not.  The good news is that (rather amazingly) I'm pretty much set to go. The big suitcase is open on the bed, finally almost packed.

I took my two mile walk this afternoon and used this time to say goodby to Frogpond.  It's only for ten days, but I'm so rooted here that leaving is always hard.  I'm sort of like a hobbit in that way.  However, I'm also just about busting my buttons I'm excited and happy to be setting off for a bit of adventure.  Waiting for me in Hamburg is my second cousin, Anke, who I haven't seen in many (15?) years.  I'm looking forward to seeing her -- it's been been way too long.

I'm dreaming of castles, and rain, and green.

And now....it's time for bed!

  2. Hey Mum, hope your flight went well I'm assuming you got a message from Alan letting you know I am phone less for a while. He was trying to replace the front of my phone which was shattered, thanks of course to Ceseare, and I guess he broke a very important part that we are waiting for in the mail now... So I look forward to hearing all about your trip and keep up on the wonderful blogs!
